Here are the top new vehicles coming in 2024, but there are still a lot of exciting things to come, such a new Ford Mustang and the cousin of the Lexus Prado.
Toyota HiLux 48V – H1
In 2024, Australia’s top-selling model will receive an upgrade that includes a 48-volt assisted powertrain option. However, it should not be mistaken for a “mild-hybrid”!
While specifics are still unknown, Toyota claims the 48V setup, when combined with the reliable 2.8-liter turbo-diesel four-cylinder engine, will reduce fuel consumption by roughly 10%.
The engine option is only available on a few HiLux grades, and as of this writing, pricing is yet unknown.
Lucid Air Sapphire
We had to reconsider what it meant to drive quickly after flooring the new Lucid Air Sapphire, with the risk of coming across as overly theatrical. With a combined 1,234 horsepower from its three motors, the opulent five-seater Sapphire can reach 100 mph in 3.84 seconds and 60 mph in a record-breaking 1.89 seconds. Again, that’s 0–60 in 1.89 seconds. Sitting on massage chairs intensifies the bizarre organ-shifting sensation. Additionally, the Sapphire’s handling is significantly improved by updated suspension, precise steering, and excellent torque vectoring.
However, the Sapphire’s incredible performance isn’t its only asset. Moreover, the EPA-estimated range of 427 miles is somewhat less than the industry-leading 516 miles of the Lucid Air Grand Touring, but it is still far greater than that of the competitors.
Jeep Avenger – H2
The Avenger crossover, which will be Jeep’s first entirely electric vehicle, will be on sale in the latter part of 2024.
Despite the Avenger’s off-road driving modes, don’t let this deceive you into thinking it’s a true “go anywhere” Jeep.

Acura Integra Type S
Last year, Acura revived the Integra brand (in the majority of regions); nevertheless, the Type S trim level—which we had been waiting for—will arrive in 2024. It might also be the ideal enthusiast vehicle.
In essence, the Type S is a more refined iteration of the beloved Honda Civic Type R. The same gripping handling, a slightly modified two-liter turbo inline-four, and the only available gearbox option—a six-speed manual, like it or not—all contribute to increased daily driveability. With a reported 5.1-second 0-60 time, it’s fast but not incredibly fast, but that’s not exactly the purpose of the Type S. When you exit curves, the six-speed stick shifter is accurate, the engine roars and whirs like in a video game, and you are reminded of how much fun driving can be.
