“Remember that the happiest people are not those getting more, but those giving more” said, H. Jackson Brown Jr. author of Life’s Little Instruction Book the first book to ever occupy the number one spot on the New York Times best-seller list in both paperback and hardback formats simultaneously.

When your organization is serious about making a difference and is active in community service, this will make the customers and the employees of the organization to form trust and loyalty to the company.

It’s not just the organization who should help the community but if the company encourages their employees to volunteer in the good deed. If the organization is regular in community involvement it can increase the employees engagement due to the better reputation of the organization. One of the best examples of business leading is Vivek Cheba, a Board-Certified Orthodontic Specialist in Calgary, Alberta. Dr. Vick Cheba Orthodontist is a proud leader and the owner of Red Deer Orthodontics, with a team of 30 members, treat 1000 patients annually.

Here are few reasons to make better employees through community involvement.

Encourage flexibility:

When you give flexibility to your employees it will directly increase your employee’s engagement in the organization. By providing flexibility to your employees can help them work according to their needs and they can schedule their timings and locations according to their task and work accordingly. Most of the managers think that without proper managing of their employees can reduce their work process and could affect the company’s profit. But they will not believe that providing flexibility for their employees’ work time rather than making them work for 7-8 hours can help them to be more productive, happier, and more engaged in the company.

Volunteer as a team:

When you help someone needy, it will make you feel happier and satisfied. This is the job of the organization to encourage their employees to involve in community work. Encourage them to take part in volunteer projects as a team and work together to help others in need. All this can help you to demonstrate that your organization has a goal to make a better place and not just focus on making profits.

Always be authentic:

When the employees have trust and loyalty towards the organization, it will form a great relationship between the employees and the organization, and motivate them to work together efficiently. It is the job of a leader to maintain the trust relationship of the employees for the organization to form better workplace environment.

Promote taking breaks:

When your employees are loyal to your organization and providing better work results for your company, it becomes your job as a manager to encourage them to take 5 minutes shot break to relax their body and mind for effective work process. There are many times when employees find difficulties in work and that makes them stressful and decreases their creativity and work speed. You can provide them some reminder apps so that they can schedule their timing of work and the app could remind them when to take a break.

Asking for feedback:

One of the best way to increase employees engagement in the business, you should ask them for their valuable feedbacks for their work environment, workload, work style, and few other things that they think is important to share. When you ask them for feedbacks, that will make the employees feel valued and they will think that their opinions are really important for the company.
