Why do you need a Pogo Pin?

A pogo pin is also referred to as a spring-loaded pin. This is an electrical connector that is used in electronic appliances and the electronic industry. The presence of the plunger in the barrel prevents the spring of the pogo pin from pushing the plunger outwards.

When electrical contacts are being designed, some friction is necessary to keep the connector held at its place and maintain the contact finish. However, the problem arises if the friction is high. If the friction is high, it can increase the stress and cause wear and tear of the contact spring and housing.
